Dr. Thomas Grisius is a graduate of Virginia Tech and the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry (Magna Cum Laude). He continued his training, earning a Master’s Degree and Orthodontic Specialty Certificate from The University of Detroit Mercy.
Although he has been in private practice since 1999, he maintains his academic involvement. He has published several journal articles, co-authored a text book chapter and serves as Assistant Professor of Orthodontics in the graduate orthodontic clinic at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry.
Dr. Grisius is board-certified by the American Board of Orthodontics and is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Southern Association of Orthodontists, Virginia Association of Orthodontists and the Greater Loudoun Study Club. He adheres to a conservative treatment philosophy of treating his patients at the appropriate time, with particular emphasis on occlusion and its relationship to the TMJ.
He lives in Purcellville, Virginia and is married to his lovely wife, Heidi, and has two adorable sons, Clay and Henry.
